New doll joy- OOAK LumeDoll Keid

I just got him in today and he is soooooooooooo awesome. He's the new Keid Ara mold, with sleeping head. He isn't released yet. And best of all....he's a totally custom resin color.

Badass....... Anyways. How did I get him? The twin and I are now the faceup artists for LumeDoll, so if you order any faceupped Lume in the future, you're getting our work. I just got the first load of heads in for IDEX in January, so we'll be getting those worked on. His name is Orion Luna, and will have white hair, white tattoos and I'm undecided on eyes. I have to figure out what will fit him first.

I have to ask Eva first about parameters for showing him off, because I don't want people bugging her for the grey resin. This one is custom for me, dangit. Gabby will be getting a tan Keid in the future, but IDEX preparations have to finish first.

I'm so stoked about this doll. Everything about him is awesome. He's in some of the loveliest grey resin I've seen, the finishing on the mold rivals big companies, he almost has no seams( no seamsanding either), and has a really well done head sculpt. I havent really seen Lumedoll owners really put alot of time and effort into thier dolls, so I really hope to change that with our work.

I just have faceup pictures so far. Gab and I tried to get more shots of her outside with the wig and outfit, but the sun was way to bright and blew out all detail. We'll try to get some soon...
Her name is Wren, and her look is based on PreRaphealite art. She will get a bright auburn tibetan wool wig in the near future to complete the look. My mom is going to make a white and silver version of the outfit for my Beryl, Siren, as well. We haven'y yet glued in the magnets for her antlers yet, nor blushed her faun parts. Till we get more spray, we're leaving those safely packed away...

My SOOM Anber finally arrived!!

Somehow she seems bigger than my other supergem girls, but that might be becuase of her "wingspan"( fauny ears).

Her resin seems nicer too, much more textural like a french resin than the other girls I have,, which seems more plasticky.
The outfit is GORGEOUS. And my Soah,Aoki, stole the wig. She looks so soft and beautiful in it, and we never intended it for Wren, the Amber.
The amount of parts she comes with it insane! The box was large enough for an Iplehouse EID( dude, the EID box was dropped on me by my mom while I slept. It was Jessie's Luo, but he has since been sold due to being freakin' huge). That huge a box was STUFFED full of her parts and clothing. And the new packaging for the SOOMs is fantastic. I hvae never seen a nicer doll bag. It's sure to get alot of use, since we attend so many meets at Syndal's, which is about an hour's drive away.

We're painting her now, so Ill hopefully update with her faceup pics tommorow * squeals away excitedly*

So on Tuesday Syndal, Gabby, Lexi and I were out in Mount Dora visiting with Eva, Rusty and Vanessa. Very good day, but pretty normal. The only intersting thing that happened on the way there was the Bank of America fiasco. Syndal needed to find a bank in Mount Dora, but by the time we found it....well....it was boarded up and had been for some time. Strike one!!

On the way home, we Jenga'ed all of our stuff and dolly cases into the trunk and set out. Its over 2 hours home from there, with Syndal dropping Gab, Lexi and I back in Tampa before she headed home to Brooksville. At least, that was the plan. Most of the way home is middle of nowhere, 55 miles per hour...until you hit Mascotte. We were busy yammering on and talking about dolly plans and what not when...from behind!! GASP!!! Flashing lights from a police cruiser dun dun duuuuun. Syndal commenses swearing, because she knew the speed limit, having been through Mascotte many many times. She kept repeating " You never speed in Mascotte! I know this!! WHYYYYY!!!!"

Cop comes round the car, flashlight blinding us all( and we're packed in pretty good) and asked Syndal's info and our of our IDs. Fine so far...and since it's something he has to do as part of his job( and the fact that we were going 65 mph in a 35mph area) he brings out the drug sniffing dog. Ok fine. We have nothing anyways.

.............the dog alerts on the trunk. greeeeat. Strike Two

We get filed out and individually checked for drugs. Syndal has some stuff for her ulcer and something else, probably for her stomach. She isnt sure, but her mom gave it to her. We all have to shake our our bras in case we have drugs hidden also. Yea. Not a one of us is under a D cup. Talk about giving the man a show. We should have been paid for that.

Another cop pulls up.....did a forget the mention we're pulled off into a cemetary, we're laughing hysterically, and we're 10 feet from a 55 mph zone. Funny stuff. Anyways, they procede with checking every inch of Syndal's Dodge Challenger( hot car, seriously).
Finally time for the truck, which is packed with dolls. This should be interesting. We warned him about them, so he'll be careful since all fo us own limited dolls. They open the trunk, and they are speechless.

Syndal busts out with " Bet you never seen that many bodies in one trunk before!"

These two cops are losing it laughing by this point. If you don't know Syndal, trust me when I tell you she is probably one of the funniest people I have ever known. And one of the liveliest.

She is taken off to the side, since she was the driver. She is starting to laugh uncontrollably at this point, because she is on the verge of crying. The cop has let herknow that the ticket can be about $300, and shecanbe in jail for the night with a mandatory court date. He tells her he'll give her a warning IF she can come up with a good excuse for speeding in under 30 seconds. Not even two later, out from her mouth pops " So, there were these zombies..."

I pipe in " And not those walking ones either! The running kind!" ...I also shamefully admit to doing the staggering zombie walk...
Gabby concurs and then the other cop procedes into this goofy ghost story about the zombies, totally playing along with us.

We finally get on our way, delayed a half hour with this humorous fiasco. We drop by Syndal's to leave her stuff and dolls behind, becuase her GPS took us within 20 minutes of her house, and then head down to Tampa. By this time Im ready to drop from tiredness, but Gab and I have work the night and class the next day. It's 2am when we arrive home.

Two strikes. No outs. Syndal rocks mad solid

SO, the moral of the story is police drug sniffing dogs alert on MSC. It's something al doll hobbyists should know. And zombies make an excellent excuse if the get the right cop pulling you over.

And the copy of the ticket given to Syndal has " reason for being pulled over- Unlawful speeding/ ZOMBIES" written on it.

UPDATE!!! She's fine! She has a medication she will be on for a while that may stop this from happening again. She has Tremor Syndrome, which is not harmful or fatal, and is not a seizure.

We just ran her to the vet and hopefully she'll be ok but she started having seisures about 15 minutes ago.The vet is going to do some labs so we dont know yet what the cause is.Theyve been nearly constant.One second she's fine and then all of a sudden,she's rolled over onto her side twitching drooling and groaning.Im so scared right now that Im numb and shaky.She was stung by a wasp this morning but we're not sure if thats the problem.The vet said he's seen tons of pets come in with bee stings but never seen any kind of pet seize from a sting.Mom and dad made us leave the vets office because we still have to go to class today and theyre going to hold her at the office and give us an update around 4 oclock.Gee,like Ill be able to pay sort of attention to Art history!!!To pay the vet bill,Ill probably be putting at least two of my dolls up for sale,my Lishe and my Si for starters.Id rather have a healthy dog than a doll any day.

If youre the praying type(or if you arent do it anyway) please please pray that she'll be ok!!!!

On the doll front- I sooo want that new Zack Fair head from xtal's order. He is so awesome!!
And I want Georgia's newest Cloud head. Talk about perfect!!
And I want a new Vincent Valentine head. I sold mine, so he's on his way to a new owner. He wasn't quite right.

On the non doll front- I want a cute new swimsuit! I found a few for shorter waisted gals, and guess what. I was actually to LONG waisted for them. Me in that suit was just about pornographic. It sat waaaay below my oversized sets of honkers. Seriously frightening. I need to lose some pounds so I can have more options.

I also want to dye my hair again, but I need to have it professionally done so i can get the bright light red I want, since everything in a box comes out too dark( reds should usually be dyed over a medium to dark blonde. My hair is a medium brown).

And of course it all leads to me needing more money. Sorry bank account! I know you want me to spend what is in you, but I want to go to school next semester! Plus there's that car payment thing...

Im selling my Zack Fair and Vincent Valentine minimee heads. They just have to many issues that make them not enough like the characters to me, and I dont have the time or will to mod them.

Hopefully someone will buy and love them, and mayb e I can try again to get ones that look much more like Zack and Vincent. At least Vincent, since he's always been my fave.

Till then, the money from selling them will go towards paying for my SOOM Chrom head, which is like $32 a month. Not bad at all.
Everything else left will be saved for school next semester.

I am absolutely in love with this head!! It's a really dumb thing to do, but sometimes dumb things need to be done.

So my sis and I finally got around to finishing up some faceup work. My Soom Onyx, Shizuka was in pretty desperate need of a new one, since I hated the old one and it was dirty. This new one I really love though, especially her lips. I need to put her eyelashes back in though. I hate putting eyelashes in! * cries*
We also finished my sis' Lishe ,Nehdezdha, but I' ll post photos of her later.
I'm still waiting on hearing form the girl I'm trading her romantic head to. I'm getting the romantic Shadow head. Sweeeeeet!!!! Her name will be Jenova( Shizuka comes from a FF7 roleplay I was in for years, so you can sort of see where this is going)...

My final paper is almost done, so soon I can rejoin the real world.

It's been a slow process, but it gets submitted online tommorow by 11pm and after that Im free!!

I have so many things to catch up on that I can't wait, and I have a friend coming to visit in the beginning of May ( yay Jessie!!)

When Im done I want go to the local botanical gardens to relax and take pictures of the lovely flowers, and maybe plan a doll meetup for during the summer.

Long story veeeeery short ( since there is massive amounts of history attached to everything)

Uncle Joe, dying of cancer, moves in.
He is now clear and has been living at my uncle Dave's.
Joe is now planning to move back up north to be with his kids again.The only reason he was here was that he felt bullied to move to a warmer climate becuase the cold made it hard to breathe( he had half a lung removed).

Uncle Dave is a jackass and a liar, and always has been one. Its a common trait of the men in my mom's family. His wife, Linda, is a pill-popping addict freak. She wasnt always like this, but her doctor's have her doped to the gills. She has extremely bad arthritis pain, so it's been very hard for her to cope and that has lead to an addiction in the last few years. She falls asleep in the middle of talking, can't control her motor functions, can be delusional at times, is unfocused and can't hold a conversation, forgettful, horrendous violent moodswings and more. She used to be a very nice and very intellegent woman.

We all try to avoid her as much as possible now.

Out of the blue, Uncle Al moves in. No one knew he was even coming till we got a call and he said he was on a Greyhound bus on his way to Tampa. @___@
He is supposedly a hardcore alcoholic, but he really only drank for the first week he's been here. After that, he has had a beer here and there, but no more than an average person who enjoys a cold one. He hasn't drank in a few days, and has not gone into withdrawl. Mom thinks he just wants attention and love( his son abandoned him with no money and the promise of a job that didnt exist, in the mountains. Said son moved back to Texas. He cooks for us, cleans, and goes to work every night with my parents( we own a cleaning service)

Today, Joe moves back in for a little bit. Linda has Baker Acted my uncle Dave. Apparently they drug him out kicking and screaming. K-9 units were there as well as SWAT members. And it was done with all the neighbors watching. Linda is the one who really needs to be popped into the nut house for a stay. Give her time to sober up and go into withdrawal. At least then someone would finally see she has a problem and intervene. We've tried, but no one listens( another family trait)

So till Dave gets out, Joe wont stay anywhere near Linda. Don't know what'll happen after that though. Dave certainly won't go back to her, and we can't have him here. We live in a 2 bed, 1 bath Ranch style house with a converted garage. We have no place for those two here already!

This is ludicrous. I'll be surprised if I pass this semester. It's just too hard to focus on anything with all this madness...

So it's been a busy last few weeks.

Had my spring break the week before last and had the flu through the whole thing.
Family has been visiting
My terminally ill(cancer) uncle just got a clean bill of health(!!!!)
I had my period for almost 12 WEEKS!
Have to start thinking about my end of term paper(8-10 pages) for my philosophy class
Have to catch up on my weekly writings for said class( In this class it is legit to write about the artistic aspects of REPO! Yes indeed. Repo-The Genetic Opera is a legitimate subject)
Need to stop by Jess' to make sure everything is alright too. Im watching things while she's on vacation. I vowed no plant shall die.

And I have to finish up faceups for Vanessa and Syndal. Come on life! Throw me a bone so I can finish this!! Today I had planned to work, and its the first rainy day in...3 months? Something like that. Plus its been fucking windy, so I cant even spray MSC
And Im almost out of MSC. Im buying some cans of the Volks spray from Kelly though.
Still need to paint my Beryl's legs, but I need the spray first.
Gonna need to paint my Amber's legs when she gets here too. I want my fawn girl to arrive now!!

My IO, Thanatos, has his first pair of pants finally. I was borrowing some that were too short, but they were the best available. I adjusted a VOLKS Sd13 pattern to allow for his leg length. Hurrah. He's now clad in pinstripes. I LOVE pinstripes.

Will take pics of this soon, but I bought the limitedSD16 Iris outfit off DOA for my Beryl. It looks awesome, though her boobs are trying to escape

24 hour Flu Bug

I was sick in bed ALL damn day. I'm still really badly dehydrated from the vomiting and uh, the other end being persnickity too. Like persnickety every 5 minutes. I was sick first thing this morning, and thought I was just hungry, so I ate some dry cereal so I could get rid of that sick feeling slowly.

Yea. That didn't work.

It wasn't till about 2pm that I finally started vomiting, and I felt so much better after I did. And then it continued. Good feeling gone. My mom kept shooing me away becuase she's a sympathy vomiter and the meer sight of the pan I was carrying around almost did her in. I always did it in the bathroom so she wouldn't see or hear me. The vomiting got so violent I couldn't hardly come up for air. And I have never used that much mouth wash in one day in my life.

My muscles hurt so damn bad from all the madness, and the dry heaving didn't help.

And I blame this on my friend's Jess' student. Evil buggers carry the plague!! I probably picked it up at her place since she had been really sick recently too. But Im lucky. she was sick longer.

This is only the second time I've been sick enough to vomit in the last 15 years. Go me.

Fourth is my IO, Constantine Thanatos, with his first faceup, and the IO lion mask. Fur isnt currently attached. Im looking for a darker fur. The teeth arent dirty...I wanted them to look aged, more like a hunter/warriors lion-head headdress than a resin mask.

These pics were taken to specifically show off the faceups...Ill post ones with hair and everything later. Im waiting for a ton of eyes to come in too....lovely glass ones. I still need to get 18mm brown glass eyes for Aoki though. Cant really find many I like. LUTS glass is the best so far.

Also...I am painting my room blue, becuase the taupe it was painted before reminds me of a sick person's skin color. Edit-Annnnnd my red wag platy, Elvis, had babies. I have about 11 fry now. Had to go out and get a breeder net,pull out all my tank decor and catch the damn things. She can keep having fry every 5-6 weeks, up to 6 months. Damn livebearer.

Well...my tank will be well stocked with obnoxiously red little fish. If they survive...

The cause of my woes- Medical issue solved and a warning to all

As I posted before, I have had my period 7 weeks now. There have been a host of strange issues going on in my household as of recent and slowly, we have discoved a disturbing coincidense, and from that, truth.

Besides my odd period, my parents have suffered:

nightmares every night
migraines constantly
rashes
aches
mood swings
anxiety
aggitation
and much more

The only commonality between all of us is new mattresses. After much research, we have found that many people all suffering physical and psychological effects from new mattresses. They have TONS of toxic chemicals used in thier production, including lead and ether. Regulations say they are safe in small amounts, but everything from migraines to cancer to SIDS deaths have been attributed to new mattress outgassing. There are websites full of testimonials from people suffering horredous long term problems caused from this. One woman had her period for 6 months. Hmmm.
We're going to get vinyl covers for our mattresses to seal them. There are products such as activated carbon blankets and mattress covers to help, and temporary solutions include using a window box fan to suck the air OUT of the room to deal with the gasses.
Basically, WE ARE BEING POISONED.

Temperpedic
Spring Air
and more

Older mattresses, if you already have one and have not suffered any noticable effects, are likely no longer outgassing. Ours were brand new from the manufacturer. Floor models in stores arent likely outgassing anymore either, since most are several years old.
Our symptoms and issues all started after we got the mattresses.

The worst of all is Temperpedic!!
